About Us
Our Story
Founded three years ago by a group of passionate and driven teenagers, the Global Smart City Institute is a youth-led platform for research and advocacy. Inspired by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our mission is to amplify youth voices on urban development issues and empower young changemakers worldwide. With a dedicated network of 65 pioneer projects across 35 countries, we have partnered with numerous NGOs and industry experts to drive meaningful change.
What we do
At the Global Smart City Institute, we focus on two key areas: advocacy and research.
In advocacy, we leverage our extensive network of NGOs and experts to amplify the voices of young changemakers through forums, events, and networking opportunities. We’ve collaborated with dozens of NGOs and industry leaders, hosting events with over 100 global attendees.
In research, we tackle critical urban development challenges by identifying gaps in current systems and proposing actionable solutions for regulatory bodies. Our work is dedicated to shaping smarter, more sustainable cities for the future.
